Cabot beach, Malpeque area

Our last stop before we head back to the states. The farms on the western side of the central portion of PEI are glorious,as well as more quaint fishing ports.
And beaches like home only better!!!...no people!!
Loading oyster cages onto boat.
The oysters even stick to the weights!
Had lunch on the Bay that included Malpeque Oysters that I forgot to take a picture of. They are supposedly world famous! And they tasted so!! A perfect cup, bring and the biggest coldest most luscious oyster I have ever had!!
We wanted to go here but they don't open until the end of June. So glad we got to sample the oysters at the other place.
I just love how colorful all the fishing ports are.
coolest refurbished train station area , now cool shops bakery etc.
The farms never dissapoint

the complexity of the church architecture just blows me away.
This part of the island has much bigger more expansive farms.
Our campsite is right by the ocean so we spent our last afternoon walking and reading on the beach. A perfect end to a fabulous adventure!!I hate how crowded the beach is!! Lol

Really interesting how the sand and seaweed makes this pattern.

  1. I think one of those pictures you posted was French River! Such nice farms around there.
The old train station in Kensington is now a restaurant but when I was 5 I took the train to PEI and we went right through Kensington on the way to Hunter River.
