Central PEI , Victoria By The Sea
We went to Victoria by the sea today on the south part of the island. It was a bit like the Nantucket of PEI!!!
We went into this gallery that had a retrospective of this 88 year old PEI artist who worked in batik. I don't think I have every been so blown away by a body of work . Technically it is beyond my comprehension. Made me so excited!!
I made a yummy 3 course treat from our bounty. Oysters with miso chili butter and panko. fresh steamers and lobster bacon corn quesadillas with salad. We feel so blessed and thankful to be able to appreciate this wonderful life and world....
The architecture is so Victorian beautiful! You can just imagine what it looked like when it was all newly built.
How do you like my new "collage" addition!!! lol
I just cant enough of the rolling farmlands. They are so pristinely picturesque!!
next to are campground is an oyster dock. there are floats in the water everywhere!!! Aquaculture on steroids!! If you blow up picture below, beyond the jetty all the black dots in the water are the floating oyster cages seen in forground.
And the piece de resistance ton our morning walk...another bald eagle. They are everywhere!!
And then we saw our first blooming lupines!! We are just a bit too early to see the masses.
We are off to explore Charlottetown today, the capital of PEI
